rather to serve as a toolset for it's member artists, we are still simply a sole-proprietor, and thus can not
offer any tax incentives, nor can you use your contribution to Artist Alliance to lower your taxes.

Warranties
Because this is a not-for-profit operation, no warraties on any product sold here on this Web site, or at
Artist Alliance sponsored live events, are implied. That said, we will replace any
damaged or defective products at no charge to you. We do not offer cash or credit refunds under any circumstances,
except high-priced items, such as original art pieces, are shipped with the appropriate insurance coverage, so
in the case of damage caused by shipping, the carrier will be responsible for any lost or damaged goods.

Artist Membership Guidelines
We strive to make as many useful tools available to our member artists to help them make a decent living doing
what they love to do. For this new concept to work, every artist must participate. We all must share our
resources and energy to help each other. Here are the simple rules and regulations of artist membership:
- Join (free) and interact with others on the Community board whenever possible
- Share resources and contacts with other member artists*
- Display graphic Artist Alliance Member link on your web site
- Make sure I am aware of all gigs, promo and releases, so we can promote them on the site effectively
- Support other member artists by attending their shows whenever possible
* We are aware of how very long and hard artists work to build followings and contacts. But this concept will
only work if everyone is supported equally. Strong upholding and encouraging the weaker (not in their content,
but in their ability to promote themselves) This can't realistically be enforced, but if everyone stays to
themselves, it will defeat the whole purpose here, which is to pool resources to forward all of our careers.
Above all, respect and tolerance are always required. Since there is such a diversity of different styles
and cultures represented here, we all must remain supportive, even if a particular act is not necessarily our
'cup of tea.' Finally, have fun! Art should uplift the spirit. My hope is that this Artist Alliance will
be fun and exciting. As long as everyone plays nice, this should be a blast for both artist and consumer alike!

Thanks is due to a handful of talented and visionary people who help keep Artist Alliance alive. First and
formost, my silent but deadly partner, and father, James Docherty. To
Paul Zollo who was one of the main reasons I started this thing in the first place. To Louise "Wonderful"
Schmelka, who inspires my courage and makes me dance. To Steve Stafford, the hardest working musician I've ever known,
And to all those who lend their talents and expertise to make this Web site run smooth, including Gary Zorko of The

Jack Kelly, and especially all the hard working bands, artists, writers, filmmakers and faithful fans.
